Chelsea defender David Luiz has reportedly opened talks with Benfica regarding a potential return to his former club.
Luiz is currently in his second spell at Stamford Bridge, but the Blues are against offering the centre-back more than a one-year contract extension despite him being first-team regular.
That has left the Brazilian with six months remaining on his existing deal and free to talk to foreign clubs about a move in the summer, and it appears that discussions have already started regarding an exit from the Blues.
According to reports in Portugal, Benfica are keen for a reunion with Luiz during the summer and the 31-year-old is open to a second period at Estadio da Luz.
Luiz represented Benfica between 2007 and 2011, scoring six goals from 132 appearances in all competitions.
