Chelsea midfielder Kevin de Bruyne has reportedly decided to leave the club during the January transfer window, with Germany's Bundesliga said to be his preferred destination.
It is believed that Jose Mourinho is keen to keep the Belgian international at Stamford Bridge until at least next summer, despite the fact that he has only selected him on seven occasions this term.
However, the 22-year-old is eager to move on in a bid to secure his place in the Belgium squad for next summer's World Cup in Brazil, according to the London Evening Standard.
It is thought that there are a number of clubs who are prepared to sign the attacking midfielder on a loan basis, but Wolfsburg are the favourites.
De Bruyne spent the last campaign with Werder Bremen on a 12-month loan deal.
