Belgian football journalist Kristof Terreur has claimed that Eden Hazard has encouraged Real Madrid to make an offer for his signature.
Hazard is nearing the end of his seventh campaign at Stamford Bridge, but the Belgium international has been heavily linked with a summer switch to Madrid due to just over a year remaining on his contract.
Reports have indicated that Real have already made a bid for the 28-year-old, and Terreur feels that Hazard must have invited the Spanish giants to make contact with Chelsea.
Terreur is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "It's always been his dream to play for Real Madrid, and at the moment for him, it's between Chelsea and Real.
"Real have made an offer to Chelsea so he must have encouraged them to make the offer. It [is] now or never for him in my eyes. He's 28, he's played seven years for Chelsea now. If he wants to have another challenge, it's now for him."
Hazard has stated that he remains fully focused on representing Chelsea during the final weeks of the season.
