Kai Havertz is reportedly desperate to join Chelsea and has asked Bayer Leverkusen to accept the Blues' offer.
The Germany international is one of the most sought-after young talents in the game after scoring and assisting a combined 64 Bundesliga goals at the age of 21.
Chelsea are considered the overwhelming favourites to sign the versatile attacker and are believed to have tabled an opening bid of £54m.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Havertz has taken action at his own end by informing Leverkusen of his desire to swap clubs.
However, the German side are said to be determined to keep hold of their prized asset until after their Europa League campaign, which resumes against Rangers on Thursday.
Speaking on the eve of that match, boss Peter Bosz insisted that Havertz is fully focused on Leverkusen.
