Chelsea are reportedly optimistic that star attacker Eden Hazard will sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
The 26-year-old has been one of the Blues' key players since his 2012 move from Lille, scoring 72 goals and registering 62 assists in 251 appearances.
Hazard's current deal runs until 2020, but according to The Sun, Chelsea are hopeful of tying him down for a further year sooner rather than later.
The report also claims that the Belgian's current wage of £200,000 per week will rise by a further £100,000, making him one of the best-paid players in the world.
Hazard has yet to start for the Blues this season after undergoing ankle surgery in the summer, but has appeared from the bench in the club's last two fixtures.
