Inter Milan 'keen to sign Emerson Palmieri this summer'

Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri is a summer transfer target for Inter Milan, according to a report.
Sports Mole

Inter Milan are reportedly keen to sign Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri this summer.

The 26-year-old has only made 11 appearances for the Blues during the 2020-21 campaign, while he has not featured under Thomas Tuchel in the Champions League or Premier League since the manager's arrival.

Emerson was involved in the FA Cup against Barnsley in February but is behind both Marcos Alonso and Ben Chilwell in the pecking order for the left-back spot.

The Italy international was linked with a return to Serie A last summer, and according to Calciomercato, Inter boss Antonio Conte wants to bring him to San Siro ahead of next season.

Emerson's current deal at Stamford Bridge is due to expire next June, meaning that he could be available for a cut-price fee in the upcoming market.

The defender has previously played in Serie A for both Palermo and Roma. body check tags ::
