Inter Milan's sporting director Piero Ausilio has claimed that RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner will not be joining the Serie A outfit this summer.
The 24-year-old has been in superb form this season with 30 goals across all competitions, attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.
However, Ausilio has claimed that the German's future does not lie with the Italian club.
In a transfer statement, the Inter chief said: "Timo Werner will not come to Inter. I know his opinion about the future of his career and I can say that we will not bring him to Inter.
"I love him as a player, but we never started transfer talks about him."
Werner has scored 24 league goals for RB Leipzig this campaign, with the forward keen to leave this summer after spending four years with the club.
