Salomon Kalou is reportedly close to completing a move to Schalke 04 on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old's contract with Chelsea is due to expire next month and the European champions are believed to be unwilling to offer him a new deal.
Schalke have contacted the player and proposed a lucrative contract to him, according to The Mirror.
Kalou scored 36 goals in 156 Premier League appearances for the Stamford Bridge club.
