Liverpool have reportedly touched base with Wolverhampton Wanderers over a move for Adama Traore.
The 25-year-old could be heading for the exit door at Molineux following reports that talks over a new contract have stalled - a situation which Chelsea are supposedly hoping to take advantage of.
With Wolves desperate to avoid Traore running down his contract and leaving on a free in the summer of 2023, the winger is expected to be sold if further talks over a new deal fail to lead to a resolution.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool have approached Wolves to make their interest in the attacker known, one year after signing his former teammate Diogo Jota.
Wolves are still expected to hold out for a fee of £40m for Traore's signature, though, and the West Midlands club are also thought to be awaiting an official approach from Chelsea now that Spain's Euro 2020 campaign is over.
The former Barcelona youngster turned out 40 times in all competitions for Wolves last term, but he only managed three goals and three assists in an underwhelming season. body check tags ::
