Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku is reportedly keen to hold discussions with the club's new owners as soon as possible.

On Monday afternoon, the Premier League club released a statement to confirmed that it was under the ownership of a consortium led by Todd Boehly, subsequently resulting in all restrictions on the Blues being lifted.

That will act as the catalyst for widespread transfers and formal negotiations to be held in the short term, and the future of Lukaku is likely to be on the agenda.

According to The Times, the 29-year-old wants to meet with the new powers-that-be to discuss whether he will continue at Stamford Bridge next season.

Although the Belgium international showed glimmers of his best form during the closing weeks of the season, a return of 15 goals in all competitions was well below what was expected of the club-record signing.

Former club Inter Milan are known to be monitoring the situation and Lukaku seemingly wants to determine whether there is any route back to San Siro for 2022-23.
