Manchester City will reportedly look to jump to the head of the queue for the signature of Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Braut Haaland this summer.
The Norwegian striker has plied his trade at the Westfalenstadion for just over a year, but he is already being linked with a big-money move to another top European club.
Chelsea and Real Madrid are both expected to be in the race for his services in 2022, at which point his £68m release clause will become active.
However, The Mirror reports that City are not prepared to wait another year and a half to get their man, and they will offer Dortmund a nine-figure sum to sign Haaland in the summer of 2021.
Pep Guardiola's side are understood to have identified the 20-year-old as a perfect replacement for Sergio Aguero, who is supposedly ready to call time on his Man City career when his contract is up in the summer.
Haaland, who has already found the back of the net 22 times in all competitions this term, would supposedly be in line for a mammoth weekly wage of £400k should he complete a switch to the Etihad Stadium.
