Manchester City are reportedly prepared to offer Juventus £76m for Matthijs de Ligt.

The defender has been linked with a move away from the Serie A giants, despite having two years left to run on his current contract.

Chelsea have been credited with showing an interest, but talks have been halted between the West London club and Juventus, with De Ligt reportedly keen to move to Bayern Munich.

However, the Bavarians could face competition from Man City, who are expected to make a bid for the Netherlands international.

According to the Manchester Evening News, the Premier League champions are ready to offer £76m for the Juventus centre-back.

With Nathan Ake edging closer to the exit door, City are looking to add to their defence, with De Ligt among their list of targets.

Since joining Juventus in 2019, De Ligt has featured in 117 games, while chipping in with eight goals. body check tags ::
