Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that he will not be losing John Stones or any of his "best players" in the January transfer window.
There have been reports that Chelsea will launch a renewed offer for Stones in two months' time after a series of bids was rejected by Everton in the summer.
It has been claimed that Stones, who submitted a transfer request when Chelsea made their interest known, will reject a move to the Premier League champions in January as he does not want to disrupt his season.
When asked about the potential winter interest in Stones, Martinez told reporters: "I am not worried at all. Our best players will not be leaving in January.
"We're not in a position where we have to make financial decisions and our focus is on being as strong as we can together and keeping the continuity.
"From our point of view the window in January will be to see if there's anything to help our squad. We don't look on it as a window to be really involved whether that's buying or selling, it's more a matter of continuity. It's about developing competition for places between the ones we already have."
One of Chelsea's bids for Stones is said to have come close to £30m.
