Massimiliano Allegri wants to end Miralem Pjanic's Barcelona nightmare by bringing him back to Juventus, according to a report.
Allegri has assumed control of the reins for a second time in Turin following the sacking of Andrea Pirlo, and he is expected to oversee a summer of change following Juve's underwhelming 2020-21 season.
Pjanic only arrived at Barcelona from Juventus last summer, but having started just six La Liga games for the Catalan giants, he is expected to be on the move once again this year.
Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have been tipped to swoop for the Bosnian, but La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Allegri is keen to reunite with him in Serie A following their successful relationship during the 53-year-old's first stint in the dugout.
Pjanic was signed by Allegri from Roma in the summer of 2016 and went on to score 22 goals and assist 41 more for Juventus in 178 appearances, winning four successive Scudettos in that time.
The 31-year-old remains contracted to Barcelona until 2024, but he is thought to be one of 14 players on the chopping block at Camp Nou. body check tags ::
