Representatives of Chelsea's Mateo Kovacic have reportedly met with Manchester City to discuss a potential summer transfer.
Kovacic has just one year left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and with Chelsea's bloated squad set to be trimmed down at the end of the season, the Croatian midfielder is one who has been linked elsewhere.
Since joining from Real Madrid in 2019, Kovacic has enjoyed success at the club, adding another Champions League crown to the three he won with Los Blancos.
Croatian outlet SportKlub claim that Man City's hierarchy met with Kovacic's team for the first round of negotiations that could see him move to the club for around £30m.
Despite still being a regular in the starting lineup, Kovacic has yet to sign a new deal at Chelsea.
The report states that with Kalvin Phillips potentially on his way out of the club, Kovacic could come in to replace him as a midfield body in the squad.
