Nemanja Matic has hinted that he would be happy to discuss a return to Chelsea if they could reach an agreement over his resigning from Benfica.
The Blues allowed the Serbian holding midfielder to leave Stamford Bridge in 2011 as a makeweight in the deal that brought Brazilian international David Luiz to London.
However, reports on Monday claimed that Jose Mourinho has made a £20m bid in an attempt to lure Benfica into selling Matic back to Chelsea, whom the 25-year-old appears to be interested in rejoining.
He was quoted by A Bola as saying: "I still can't say anything about this, let's see what happens in the future, you have to ask the club and the president.
"If it's good for the club and for me, we'll talk. Let's see what happens until 31 January."
Matic was speaking at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony in Zurich on Monday evening, where he was nominated for the Puskas Award, an accolade that went to Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
