Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo missed training on Monday amid links with a move to Chelsea.
Caicedo has been the subject of several bids from Chelsea, including the most recent offer believed to be worth £80m.
The Seagulls have subsequently rejected all of Chelsea's proposals, as they hold out for their £100m asking price.
A recent report claimed that the Blues are not willing to give up in their pursuit and are now preparing to return with an improved offer.
With the speculation over his future continuing to rumble on, BBC Sport have revealed that Caicedo missed Brighton training on Monday.
The 21-year-old is reportedly growing frustrated with Brighton's stance over a potential move to Mauricio Pochettino's side.
The report states that it is currently unclear whether the Ecuador international will report for training on Tuesday.
Caicedo was absent from the Brighton squad for Sunday's friendly against Rayo Vallecano due to a hamstring issue.
No club has yet reached Brighton's £100m asking price, and the Seagulls do not expect anyone to match their valuation before the end of the summer transfer window.
Caicedo previously tried to force through a move to Arsenal in January when he made a public request to leave the South-coast club.
Brighton managed to retain his services, before he extended his contract with the Seagulls until the summer of 2027.
Caicedo featured in 43 games across all competitions last term, helping Brighton finish in sixth place and qualify for the Europa League.
