Newcastle United have reportedly been offered the opportunity to re-sign Loic Remy.
The French striker spent the 2013-14 campaign on loan with the Magpies from Queens Park Rangers, during which time he scored 14 goals in 26 appearances.
He then held talks to turn that move into a permanent one, but the 28-year-old eventually switched to Chelsea in a £10m deal.
However, having been unable to hold down a regular place at Stamford Bridge, the frontman could now return to Tyneside before the month is out, according to the Newcastle Evening Chronicle.
The report adds that Newcastle may face competition for Remy's signature from Crystal Palace, Swansea City and Norwich City.
