Experienced forward Olivier Giroud will reportedly meet with Chelsea to discuss his future at the club ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
The 33-year-old started Saturday's Premier League clash with West Ham United but is behind both Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
The France international will see his contract with the Blues expire at the end of the season, and AC Milan have been linked with a possible swoop at the start of 2020.
According to the Evening Standard, Giroud will hold 'showdown talks' with Chelsea, who would currently be able to bring in a replacement due to their transfer suspension.
The report claims that Blues boss Frank Lampard wants to keep the 2018 World Cup winner, but Giroud is fearful that he could lose his spot in the France squad for Euro 2020 due to a lack of action.
The striker has only managed one goal in seven appearances at club level this season, with that strike coming against Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup back in August.
