RB Leipzig are reportedly growing in confidence that a deal can be agreed to re-sign Chelsea striker Timo Werner.
Although he started 29 league games in his first season with the Blues, Werner was only included in 15 Premier League starting lineups last term.
Due to the decrease in playing time, the 26-year-old has been linked with a move away in a bid to play regularly ahead of the World Cup.
According to Sky Sports News, Leipzig are believed to be leading the race for Werner, with the Bundesliga club growing confident that a deal can be completed.
Die Roten Bullen are attempting to secure a return for a player that scored 93 goals in 158 appearances for the club before leaving to join Chelsea in 2020.
Leipzig could still face competition from the likes of Juventus, who are still interested in the Germany international, and they are prepared to step up their pursuit if they are unable to re-sign Alvaro Morata this summer. body check tags ::
