Chelsea are leading the way to sign Sergio Aguero when his Manchester City contract expires, according to a report.

City announced last month that their all-time leading goalscorer will depart the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

Aguero has been linked with a number of big-name clubs, including a handful of Premier League sides.

Despite his strong association with the Citizens, the 32-year-old is believed to be willing to stay in English football.

Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United are among those to have been credited with an interest in Aguero.

Argentinian outlet TyC Sports claims that Chelsea are the current frontrunners to sign the City legend, with Thomas Tuchel eager to bring in a new striker this summer.

Aguero, who has scored 181 Premier League goals, is not expected to make a decision on his future until next month at the earliest.

Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus could also step forward with lucrative offers for the ex-Atletico Madrid ace. body check tags ::
