Chelsea have taken the first steps towards landing Radja Nainggolan from Roma this summer, according to a report.
The Belgium international, who has been heavily linked with a move to both the Blues and Liverpool, was forced to play down speculation of a switch earlier this month.
However, Italian publication Corriere dello Sport claims that a meeting has already been held between Chelsea officials and Nainggolan's agent Remy Abbas.
It is also suggested that Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini was present when talks were taking place, with the green light now set to be given for a transfer at the end of the season should a price be agreed.
Nainggolan has three goals and one assist in Serie A this season, and would likely become Antonio Conte's first piece of business when he officially takes charge at Stamford Bridge after his Euro 2016 commitments with Italy.
