Chelsea loanee Mateo Kovacic reportedly has no plans to return to Real Madrid and fight for his first-team place under Zinedine Zidane.
The Croatian midfielder's loan spell at Stamford Bridge expires in two months' time, and the Blues have offered little indication that they will take up the option to sign him permanently.
Real currently have 11 players out on loan, but the majority of them have no future at the Bernabeu.
In the case of Kovacic, Marca reports that the 24-year-old will do everything possible to dissociate himself from Los Blancos as, despite winning nine trophies under Zidane, his relationship with Frenchman is cold.
Kovacic has failed to truly win over Chelsea supporters this season, though he has been used 27 times in the Premier League, 19 of those starts.
Arsenal have been tipped to make a move for Kovacic in the summer transfer window.
