Leicester City are reportedly closing on the signing of Rijeka striker Andrej Kramaric after the striker's potential move to Chelsea broke down.
Kramaric's father and agent, Josip, has revealed that Chelsea's refusal to offer the 23-year-old guarantees for next season led to the breakdown in talks.
"Unfortunately, we couldn't agree one term with Chelsea and that was the guarantee that Andrej would return to Chelsea at the end of the season," Josip Kramaric told Goal.com.
"No-one at Chelsea could guarantee us that and that was our priority."
As a result, Leicester have now moved to the head of the queue for the striker, who has scored 55 goals in 65 appearances for his current club, including 21 in just 19 league games this season.
It is understood that Leicester will part with £7m for Kramaric, who will undergo a medical on Tuesday.
