Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Roma.

Despite featuring for the Blues during pre-season, the England international is one of many Chelsea players who have been made available by Thomas Tuchel.

The 25-year-old has made just nine appearances for Chelsea since June 2020, spending the last campaign on loan at Fulham.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma are contemplating whether to try to sign Loftus-Cheek for €16m (£13.69m).

Recently-appointed manager Jose Mourinho is no stranger to the player, having handed the Chelsea academy graduate his senior debut.

Roma are said to be in the market for a new central midfielder, particularly with Amadou Diawara attracting interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
