Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel has encouraged Armando Broja to "keep on improving" during his loan spell at Southampton.
The academy graduate has contributed five goals from his 17 outings in the Premier League, making such a positive impression that Ralph Hasenhuttl has acknowledged that he would like to sign the Albania international on a permanent basis.
However, the 20-year-old possesses a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge, and it appears that Tuchel would currently not support any decision to part ways with the attacker.
Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Tuchel said: "He is our player and he is doing good. But, at the same time, it is only half season, and he needs to continue to improve, and make his statement at Southampton.
"We have a reason why they are our players. They have quality, they have mentality, and now they are out there on their own in different environments, different clubs, and proving themselves.
"Armando is getting better and better. He is a very unique player with some very unique strengths in his game. His speed, he's robust, and he is a goalscorer.
"First of all, now is not the moment to discuss about the summer. Now, is the moment for him to stay calm and keep on improving."
Reports have suggested that Chelsea will make a decision on Broja's future by the end of the week. body check tags ::
