West Ham United have reportedly not given up hope of signing Chelsea wide player Ian Maatsen before the end of the summer transfer window.
Having starred during Burnley's Championship promotion campaign in 2022-23, it was expected that the Netherlands Under-21 international would be sold by Chelsea.
However, the 21-year-old impressed during the Blues' pre-season tour of the United States, Mauricio Pochettino using him on the left and as a number 10.
As it stands, Maatsen will be kept in Chelsea's squad, that decision highlighted by receiving a squad number on Tuesday, but the Daily Mail claims that West Ham still have him on their radar.
Harry Maguire and James Ward-Prowse are seemingly on their way to the London Stadium, with David Moyes choosing to spend some of the funds generated from the sale of Declan Rice on the Manchester United defender and Southampton midfielder.
Nevertheless, despite Maatsen insisting last month that he wants to stay at Chelsea, the Hammers and his former loan club Burnley are said to be ready to make offers for his services.
Meanwhile, Leeds United are reportedly on the brink of winning the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon.
The Wales international quickly fell out of favour under Antonio Conte and spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Rennes, where he made 22 appearances in all competitions.
Although the 25-year-old has since returned to his parent club, newly-appointed head coach Ange Postecoglou has not included the centre-back in his plans for the new season.
According to journalist Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, Rodon will soon complete a transfer to Elland Road on a season-long loan deal.
Daniel Farke is keen to press ahead with his transfer plans after the Yorkshire giants were held to a 2-2 draw with Cardiff City in their Championship opener last weekend.
While Leeds are not short of options for the middle of their backline, Liam Cooper faces a number of weeks on the sidelines through injury.
Former Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has allegedly made the decision to sign a deal with Besiktas.
After a number of injury-hit seasons at Anfield, the decision was made for the former England international to depart the Merseyside giants on a free transfer at the end of June.
Despite his fitness issues, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with a number of different teams, many of which are in the Premier League.
Paul Joyce of The Times says that the 29-year-old is now on the brink of finalising a transfer to the Turkish giants.
A medical is due to be undertaken in the coming days with the player having already been photographed arriving in the country ahead of the move.
Oxlade-Chamberlain left Liverpool having made just 146 appearances across six years, with 13 outings coming in 2022-23.
