Marco van Ginkel has revealed that a series of conversations with manager Jose Mourinho convinced him to join Chelsea.
The 20-year-old Dutch midfielder officially signed for the Blues from Vitesse Arnhem on Friday.
"We spoke a few times on the phone. That was important," Van Ginkel told Algemeen Dagblad. "It's good to hear that a coach really wants you. That convinced me."
Van Ginkel has penned a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
