Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana has reportedly agreed personal terms with Chelsea ahead of a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
Despite signing a new five-year deal with Leicester in March, Fofana has been linked with a transfer to Chelsea this summer.
The Blues have been looking for new central defenders throughout the transfer window following the departures of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, and they have been successful in adding Kalidou Koulibaly and Marc Cucurella to their squad.
They are still attempting to sign Fofana to strengthen their backline, but they have two bids of £60m and £65m rejected by Leicester.
Although a fee is yet to be agreed, the Daily Mail are reporting that Chelsea have agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old.
The Blues may still need to increase in their offer to sign the centre-back with Leicester looking for over £80m, although with personal terms now agreed, there is a belief among all parties that a transfer can be completed.
Fofana, who is currently under contract until 2027, has made 52 appearances for the club and lifted the FA Cup in his time with the Foxes. body check tags ::
