West Ham United have reportedly identified Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud as a potential signing.
The Hammers are being heavily linked with a £40m move for Celta Vigo's Maxi Gomez, while the club announced at the weekend that Marko Arnautovic had penned a new deal at the London Stadium.
However, according to the Daily Mail, the East London outfit are keen to secure the signing of Giroud from city rivals Chelsea.
The France international has less than six months remaining on his contract, and the 32-year-old is expected to play second fiddle to recent arrival Gonzalo Higuain.
Chelsea are keen to keep Giroud at Stamford Bridge until at least the end of the season, although it remains to be seen whether their stance will change if they receive a sizeable cash offer.
Lyon, Dalian Yifang and Wolverhampton Wanderers have all been linked with an approach for the player.
