RB Leipzig attacker Dani Olmo has said that clubs 'know what they need to do' in order to sign him for £50m this summer, as the speculation surrounding his future gathers pace.

A whole host of clubs are said to be interested in the Spain international during the current window, but Barcelona and Chelsea are believed to be at the head of the queue.

Olmo has a £50m release clause in his current deal with Leipzig, but it will expire on Monday.

As a result, any transfer after the deadline could end up costing at least £70m, with Leipzig expected to take advantage of the forward's strong form at Euro 2024.

Olmo has said that he is not currently thinking about his future, as Spain prepare to tackle England in Sunday's Euro 2024 final, but the 26-year-old insisted that potential suitors 'know what they need to do'.

Barcelona, Chelsea are both being linked with Olmo

"I'm not worried," he told Cadena SER. "I have my people who take care of everything. I have too much to do with the Euros to think about other things.

"Especially now with the final ahead. I don't have anything else on my mind.

"I have a contract with RB Leipzig. It's not something I think about. The people I trust already know my opinion and what I want to do. That's the only thing that matters."

When quizzed on the release clause expiring on Monday, Olmo added: "You know what you have to do. If it's later, you'll have to fight a little."

Olmo has played a key role in Spain reaching the Euro 2024 final

Olmo has only started two of Spain's six matches at Euro 2024, but he has benefitted from an injury to Pedri in the quarter-finals of the competition and is now expected to start Sunday's final.

The forward has three goals and two assists at this summer's European Championship, with his goals coming in his last three appearances against Georgia, Germany and France.

Olmo had his injury problems during the 2023-24 campaign, but he still managed eight goals and five assists in 25 appearances for Leipzig in all competitions.

Since arriving at his German club, he has scored 29 goals and registered 34 assists in 148 outings, but it is expected that he will move teams during the summer transfer window.

Olmo represented Barcelona's youth academy between 2007 and 2014, but he was unable to make the first-team breakthrough and ultimately moved to Dinamo Zagreb in 2015. body check tags ::
