Borussia Dortmund have cruised into the second round of the DFB-Pokal with a laboured 2-0 win at Chemnitzer.
The hosts, who play in Germany's third division, began brightly enough but were soon overrun by their increasingly dominant top-tier opponents.
In the 24th minute they fell a goal down as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang rose highest above the defence and nodded home Henrik Mkhitaryan's cross.
Thomas Tuchel's charges continued to assert their dominance but couldn't kill off the contest until eight minutes before the end, when Aubameyang turned provider with a pass that Mkhitaryan slotted low at the right-hand post.
Dortmund reached the final of the competition last season, where they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Wolfsburg.
