Chievo scored twice in the dying minutes to claim a 2-0 win over Frosinone in their Serie A match at the Stadio Matusa this afternoon.
Daniel Ciofani had an early chance to give the hosts the lead, but after being found by Mirko Gori he could only fire straight at Albano Bizzarri.
Nicola Rigoni soon placed two efforts wide of the post for Chievo, as both teams struggled to create chances in a goalless first half.
Frosinone came out strongly in the second half and Federico Dionisi drilled wide before Luca Paganini crashed an effort against the post.
Having missed those chances, the game looked set to finish in a goalless draw until Riccardo Meggiorini was brought down inside the box by Modibo Diakite and a penalty was given to the visitors.
Alberto Paloschi stepped up to take the spot kick and kept his nerve to finish low into the bottom corner to give his side the lead with a minute of normal time remaining.
Simone Pepe was then sent off for the visitors in stoppage time, but moments later Meggiorini broke through the defence and slotted in a second goal to make sure of the win.
