A brace by Alberto Paloschi and a late strike by Luca Rigoni have helped Chievo see off Bologna 3-0 in tonight's Serie A clash at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.
Chievo were awarded a penalty in the sixth minute following a foul in the Bologna box, which was duly converted by Paloschi.
The away side sought to redeem themselves immediately, but Gyorgy Garics's header three minutes later failed to find the target.
On the quarter-hour mark, Victor Obinna attempted to double his side's lead, but his effort was off target, while midway through the first half, Tiberio Guarente's finish was wide of the goal.
Bologna were under the cosh for the majority of the game, but Rolando Bianchi, formerly of Manchester City, was a constant threat against the Gialloblu, and was unlucky not to do better with an effort just before the hour.
Meanwhile, Obinna kept troubling the Bologna backline, and came close on several occasions before being replaced by Dejan Lazarevic midway through the second half.
Paloschi then doubled his side's lead thanks to his strike in the 78th minute, effectively killing off the game for the beleaguered Rossoblu.
Rigoni then added gloss to the scoreline thanks to his strike with just a minute to go, assisted by Dario Dainelli.
