Roma have slumped to their first defeat in four games against Chievo courtesy of a late goal from Sergio Pellissier.

The first half was a quiet affair, as the Giallorossi were restricted to mostly long-range shots.

Pablo Daniel Osvaldo tested Stefano Sorrentino early on, while Francesco Totti and Alessandro Florenzi failed to test the goalkeeper with their efforts.

The hosts continued to keep Zdenek Zeman's men quiet in the second period, and their hard work paid dividends as Marco Rigoni played the ball in for Pellissier to grab the winner with three minutes left on the clock.

The result means that Roma lose ground on Fiorentina in Serie A.
