Morning all and welcome to Sports Mole's live text coverage of the Copa America semi-final between Chile and Peru from the Gremio Arena. Chile have won the last two editions of the Copa America and are bidding to become just the second team in history to lift the trophy on three occasions in a row. The defending champions overcame Colombia on penalties in the quarter-finals, while Peru shocked Uruguay to book their spot in the final four. Stay tuned for live updates!
TEAMS!

CHILE: Arias; Isla, Medel, Maripan, Beausejour; Aranguiz, Pulgar, Vidal; Sanchez, Vargas, Fuenzalida

PERU: Gallese; Advincula, Zambrano, Abram, Trauco; Tapia, Yotun; Carrillo, Cueva, Flores; Guerrero

It is the Chile XI that was expected to take to the field for this match. Indeed, Alexis Sanchez is again joined in the final third by Eduardo Vargas and Jose Fuenzalida. Reported Arsenal target Erick Pulgar also starts in midfield, as does Barcelona's Arturo Vidal. Gary Medel is also fit despite being an injury concern leading into the semi-final with Colombia.
As for Peru, captain Paolo Guerrero again leads the line with support from Andre Carrillo and Edison Flores. Los Incas are missing Jefferson Farfan through injury, though, which is a huge blow to their chances of progressing to the final, where Brazil are waiting. It looks to be a 4-2-3-1 once again with Yoshimar Yotun and Renato Tapia lining up in the middle of the park.
Here we go then - the national anthems have been sung, the pre-match handshakes have been undertaken and the flags have been exchanged. Kickoff is now just moments away here!
KICKOFF:  Peru kick things off in this Copa America semi-final...
... it must be said that there is a wonderful atmosphere inside the stadium, with the Chilean national anthem in particular something to behold. There has already been a couple of late challenges, meanwhile, the last of which has seen Zambrano fly into the back of Vargas.
CHANCE!  Huge chance for Peru to make the breakthrough early on as Cueva finds himself free inside the Chilean box, but the number eight pokes the ball just wide of the post!
Well, this game has not needed long to warm up! Incredible pace to the contest at the moment as Peru continue to force the issue with Chile scrambling to clear their lines.
Just a reminder that both teams played out goalless 90 minutes in their respective quarter-finals before winning on penalties. It does appear that there will be goals tonight, though, with plenty happening in the first seven minutes. Peru have made the brighter start here.
Peru have made the final four despite winning just one of their four matches in normal time, but it is the third time in the last four Copa Americas that they have managed to reach the semi-finals. Chile, meanwhile, have won the last two editions of this particular competition.
CHANCE!  Huge chance for Chile this time as Aranguiz meets a low cross from Beausejour, but the midfielder can only send his effort wide of the post. Brilliant move there!
Still goalless with 11 minutes on the clock, but both teams have had huge chances to score in the early stages here. It is a brilliant game with such an open feel - good stuff here.
Guerrero almost breaks into a dangerous position inside the Chile box, but Maripan just does enough to make the clearance. Peru are looking very threatening in the final third here.
Peru were the underdogs heading into this match, but their recent record in the competition deserves huge respect. Chile have had their moments in the first 15 minutes - Peru, though, have been the better side thus far. Just a reminder that Brazil are waiting in the final.
Peru appear to be finding all sorts of space down Chile's left at the moment, with Cueva pulling onto Beausejour. Chile, on the other hand, are just struggling a touch here.
Aranguiz has just been down receiving some treatment for Chile, but the midfielder seems fine to continue. Back to the action and Peru are again causing problems in the final third.
CLOSE!  Another chance for Peru as Youth breaks into a dangerous area, but the winger sees his effort deflected wide for a corner kick. Chile are not too secure at the back.
GOAL!  CHILE 0-1 PERU (FLORES)
It had been coming! Peru make the breakthrough in the 21st minute as the ball drops for Flores at the far post following a corner and the winger smashes it past Arias. It is a wonderful strike from the number 20, who has been so dangerous early on here.
Chile now have a concern over Vidal who is currently on the ground here.
Half-chance for Chile to reply as Fuenzalida meets a long-range pass from Vidal, but there are no takers on the attacker's low cross into the Peru box. End-to-end football here.
SHOT!  Peru are just finding so much space in the middle of the park. Flores again tries his luck from distance, but his effort swings wide of the post. Chile might tighten up here.
Nothing much from Sanchez in the first 29 minutes of this match, while Vargas has also been quiet. Peru, on the other hand, continue to find space in the areas between Chile's back four and midfield three. Surely there are more goals to come in this semi-final.
Slightly better from Chile in the last couple of minutes as smart work from Sanchez down the left wins a corner. The resulting set piece is cleared, though, and Peru break once again.
OFF THE LINE!  Stunning defending from Guerrero to clear a dangerous Sanchez corner off the line. The set piece from the Manchester United attacker looked to be sneaking in!
It is difficult to imagine Chile not scoring tonight, but Peru are more than capable of adding a couple more down the other end. There seems to be so much space in the wide areas here.
Still no bookings in this match despite the fact that there have been some tasty challenges - Sanchez has just flown into Tapia, but the referee is happy for play to continue here.
Chile have started to throw some high balls into the Peru box, but Zambrano and Abram have both been excellent in central defence thus far. It is a good period of the game for Chile as they have been dominating the ball. The first period has absolutely flown past here.
Little over five minutes of the first half remaining and Peru have the lead courtesy of that fine goal from Flores, who has been so dangerous in the opening 38 minutes of this game.

GOAL!  CHILE 0-2 PERU (YOTUN)
Peru double their lead in the 38th minute as Yotun fires into an empty net after Chilean goalkeeper Arias had sprinted out wide to confront Carillo - the attacker managed to deliver a cross and Yotun kept his composure to fire home from the edge of the box!
There has been hardly a second to draw breath in the first half of this match - Chile have offered a threat in the final third, but Peru have been outstanding in attacking positions.
Chile are throwing players forward in an attempt to register late in the first period, but Peru continue to defend their own penalty box with Zambrano heading a Vargas cross behind.
SAVE!  Super save from Gallese to tip a Pulgar effort over the crossbar!
Chile, as expected, are really pressing for the game's third goal, but that is leaving so much space on the break and Peru have not needed a second invitation to counter in this first half. It has been a wonderful 45 minutes of Copa America football - terrific entertainment here.
We are into the second of three additional minutes at the end of the first period.
HALF TIME:  CHILE 0-2 PERU
And breathe! Well, there have been some poor games at this summer's Copa America, but this is not one of them. Incredible entertainment here as first-half goals from Flores and Yotun have given Peru a 2-0 lead over Chile at the interval. The defending champions have had their chances to register, but there is no question that Peru deserve to lead at this stage of the semi-final.
STATISTICS! Chile actually had 65% possession in the first period, but hit the target with just one of their three attempts. Peru, meanwhile, managed two shots on target from six attempts. No yellows to report in the first 45 minuted despite there being some tasty tackles.
BENCH WATCH! Castillo, Valdes and Pablo Hernandez are amongst those on the Chile bench tonight, but Rueda will want to see so much more from those on the field. Peru, meanwhile, have options in the shape of Polo and Ruidiaz, but the players out there are performing so well.
KICKOFF:  Chile resume the action here...
... CHILE SUB! Chile make a half-time change with Sagal replacing Fuenzalida.
Bright start to the second half from Chile, who need a goal as quickly as possible. Play is stopped for a couple of minutes, however, with Flores hitting the deck and staying there.
Flores is actually being stretchered off the field for Peru here - a change will be needed.
PERU SUB! The goalscorer Flores is replaced by Gonzales for Peru.
OFF THE POST!  Huge chance for Chile to halve the deficit as Vargas meets a cross from the right, but his header comes off the post and somehow Peru are able to clear their lines!
As expected, Chile are really forcing the issue here as they desperately look for a route back into the match. There is just no time to take stock here as the action ramps up time and time again.
It would probably be fair to say that a third goal for Peru would end this match as a contest - Yotun has just delivered a dangerous free kick into the Chilean box, but Medel is on hand to make the clearance. The half-time break has done nothing to slow the tempo here.
Little over 30 minutes of normal time remaining and Chile must find at least two goals or Peru are heading for the final, where they will take on the tournament hosts Brazil.
SHOT!  Aranguiz has a low strike deflected wide of the post for a corner as Chile desperately look for a route back into this contest, which is far from finished at this stage.
CHANCE!  Oh my goodness! An incredible move from Peru ends with Yotun finding himself free inside the Chilean box, but the number 19 somehow clears the crossbar - wow!
Some of the football from Peru has been incredible - especially in the final third. Chile are doing their best to make things happen, but they are leaving so much space in behind.
Just a reminder that tournament hosts Brazil are waiting for one of these two teams in Sunday's final. It does appear that Peru will be present, but one goal for Chile would change everything. It really has been a wonderful spectacle for the Copa America this match.
SHOT!  Cueva misses the Chilean crossbar from distance as another half-chance arrives.
CLOSE!  Aranguiz sees a long-range strike just miss the Peru crossbar! Chile just need one goal to change the entire atmosphere here, but luck does appear to be on Peru's side at the moment.
Little over 20 minutes of the second period remaining and Chile must score twice without reply to force a penalty shootout. As it stands, Peru are heading into Sunday's final.
SAVE!  Sensational goalkeeping from Gallese as the Peru stopper manages to tip a dipping Beausejour cross over the crossbar from close range - super stuff there!
Chile missed a lot of chances in their quarter-final against Colombia, but were able to advance following a penalty shootout. The problem, however, is that the defending champions have conceded twice here and simply have to score twice to stay in the match.
PERU SUB! Polo replaces Carrillo in Peru's second change.
YELLOW CARD!  Advincula (Peru) picks up the game's first booking for a poor tackle on Vargas.
The Peru fans are in fine voice at the moment, and why not? Their team are closing in on a spot in the Copa America final. Still time for all of that to change late on, though.
YELLOW CARD!  Pulgar (Chile) is booked for bringing Polo to the ground.
SAVE!  It is another brilliant save from Gallese, who manages to keep out an attempt from Vargas after the attacker had broken into a one-on-one position. Another chance!
Chile surely cannot miss the amount of chances that they have missed and expect to progress to the final. There are some very, very tired legs for Peru at the moment.
Little over 10 minutes of normal time remaining and Chile remain on the front foot as they look to force some late drama here. How on earth have Peru not conceded in this game?
PERU SUB! Peru make their third and final change as Cueva is replaced by Ballon.
Gallese again collects the ball inside the Peru box following a period of Chilean pressure. Peru's goalkeeper has been almost faultless tonight - will that continue late on?
SAVE!  Oh yes it will continue! Another excellent piece of work from Gallese to keep out a powerful strike from Sanchez, which looked to be heading towards the bottom corner.
Little over five minutes of the second period remaining and Peru still have a 2-0 lead. It is incredible that Chile have not scored when considering the chances in the second period.
Brazil are waiting for one of these two teams in Sunday's final and it does appear that Peru will be advancing - Chile have had a number of opportunities, but have simply been unable to take any of them. The clock continues to tick towards the 90th minute here.
YELLOW CARD!  Sagal (Chile) is booked for a foul on Polo.
It will be very, very interesting to see how much time is added here. Peru currently have possession inside the Chilean half as the clock ticks towards the 90th minute here.
CHILE SUB! Maripan is replaced by Castillo for Chile.
The fourth official has signalled an additional five minutes - is it enough time?
GOAL!  CHILE 0-3 PERU (GUERRERO)
There is the third for Peru! It is a super goal as well with Guerrero collecting the ball and spinning in one movement before rounding Arias and slotting into the back of the net!
SAVE!  Another excellent save from Gallese to keep out a strike from Vargas as Chile look to give their fans something to cheer late on. Peru are heading to Sunday's final!
PENALTY!  Chile have a penalty following a VAR check!
SAVE!  Oh my word! Vargas tries to chip the ball down the middle but Gallese just stands there and makes the save. Incredible finish to what has been an incredible match!
FULL TIME:  CHILE 0-3 PERU
So there we have it - the referee brings the second period to a close with Peru booking their spot in the final courtesy of a 3-0 win over the defending champions Chile. It has been a brilliant night of Copa America football and Brazil are waiting in the final. Thanks for joining Sports Mole for our live coverage once again. See you next time!
