Chile manager Jorge Sampaoli has revealed that he is proud of his team despite their exit from the World Cup at the hands of Brazil.
The Chileans were unlucky not to beat the hosts as they had a shot cannon off the bar with seconds to go in extra time before Brazil went on to claim a 3-2 victory on penalties.
"I am very proud of my players and proud for Chile," Sampaoli told reporters.
"The national team has represented the nation very well. What I care about is the fact that my team fought very hard and played well for 120 minutes."
Chile are the first South American side to exit the tournament at the last 16 stage.
