Ivory Coast have taken a 2-1 lead into half time of their Africa Cup of Nations semi-final meeting against Congo DR this evening.
The Elephants, who are looking to reach the showpiece final of the competition for the second time in three years, made the breakthrough a little over 20 minutes into the contest through star midfielder Yaya Toure.
A loose ball on the edge of the box sat up nicely for the Manchester City man, and he did not need a second invitation to take range with a finely struck effort into the back of the net.
That lead lasted all of three minutes, though, with Dieumerci Mbokani coolly dispatching from the spot after his side were awarded a penalty kick.
Gervinho then added a potentially decisive second goal before the break for Ivory Coast, being picked out in acres of space inside the area before curling the ball into the far corner.
