Cordoba have relieved Miroslav Djukic of his managerial duties with the Spanish outfit, an official club statement has confirmed.
The Serbian took charge of the La Liga outfit last October after Albert Ferrer, who led them into Spain's top flight last season, was dismissed.
Cordoba have not won in the league since the start of January, however, and Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Malaga left them rooted to the bottom of the table, seven points from safety.
Djukic told reporters after the match: "Obviously we are in a difficult situation but we are going to fight and fight until the end because there's no other way."
However, the Spanish club, who have lost their last eight in the league, have taken the decision to dismiss Djukic, with reserve coach Jose Antonio Romero taking charge with immediate effect.
