Getafe have eased their relegation fears by coming from behind to claim a 2-1 victory over Cordoba in their La Liga clash this evening.
Nabil Ghilas fired a strike wide in the early stages, as the hosts made a strong start to the match.
Getafe gradually came into the game and they were close to taking lead when Pedro Leon flashed a shot inches past the post.
It was Cordoba, though, who ended the first half on top, with Edu Campabadal and Bebe both seeing efforts saved by Vicente Guaita.
Shortly after the break Ghilas had another chance for Los Califas, but after bursting through the middle he could only fire his strike high over the bar.
Cordoba continued to pose more of a threat and they finally broke the deadlock with 13 minutes of the game left to play when Florin Andone crashed a strike into the bottom corner.
However, their joy was short lived, as 10 minutes later Fede Vico turned the ball into his own net to level the scores.
It got even worse for the hosts in stoppage time when Juan Rodriguez headed in from a corner and there was no time for them to respond as Getafe held on to claim the points.
