Almeria staged a second-half comeback to overturn a one-goal deficit and beat Cordoba 2-1 in La Liga today.
The away side had the first real chance of the match as Thievy Bofiouma darted down the right flank before cutting the ball back for Wellington Silva, who fired marginally wide.
Cordoba took the lead minutes later as Fede Cartabia curled a left-footed free kick into the top corner, after Edimar was fouled just outside the box.
Cartabia's corner found Florin Andone in the 22nd minute, but he hit the bar from close range with a header.
Almeria pulled level shortly after the hour mark as Michel Macedo rifled home a left-footed shot from the middle of the box, after Silva played a neat through ball.
Five minutes later, Macedo scored his second as he latched onto the end of a Silva cross and headed the ball past the keeper.
Cordoba pushed for an equaliser, but they failed to create any meaningful opportunities late on in the game.
