Costa Rica coach Jorge Luis Pinto has praised the attitude of his players following their surprise 3-1 win over Uruguay at the World Cup.
Edinson Cavani gave the Uruguayans an early lead in Fortaleza before goals from Joel Campbell, Oscar Duarte and Marco Urena saw Costa Rica claim the points.
"We are happy and I want to congratulate the team for the attitude they showed," Pinto is quoted as saying by FIFA.com.
"The players kept their heads after Uruguay scored. They were composed, stuck to their game and played with a lot of heart. It's an important win for us and it gives us hope, though we haven't won anything yet."
The Costa Ricans are back in action on Friday when they face Italy.
