Mathieu Manset has had his contract with Coventry City terminated with immediate effect.
The 24-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Sky Blues in August 2013.
However, despite the fact that he has made nine appearances this term, scoring one goal in the process, Manset has been released by the League One club.
"Coventry City would like to wish Mathieu the very best in his future career," read a short statement on the club's official website.
The Frenchman has previously played for Hereford United, Reading and Carlisle United.
