Croatia midfielder Luka Modric has said that his side's confidence has been boosted after their 2-0 win over Nigeria on Saturday.
Zlatko Dalic's side got their World Cup campaign off to the perfect start after Modric's second-half penalty added to an Oghenekaro Etebo own goal in the first half.
"We were just focused on our game and it was an important win which will boost our confidence for the forthcoming matches. This will lift us to continue our journey," Modric told reporters after the game.
"I believe that on the wings of this win we will up our game and continue our journey in the way that we planned before coming here."
The result put Croatia top of Group D following Argentina's 1-1 draw with Iceland earlier in the day.
