Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira has provided an injury update on Joel Ward.

When looking ahead to their FA Cup fifth-round match against Stoke City tonight, the Frenchman discussed his team news, with the club having no new issues to deal with.

However, Ward is still not an option for the Eagles, as he is out of action with a groin injury, which he sustained during their 1-0 loss against Chelsea on February 19.

"[There are] no fresh issues. Joel Ward started running on the field but did not do any team training so he will not be involved," Vieira told the press.

At the moment, there is no confirmed date for when the 32-year-old will be back in the team, but the defender has made 23 appearances in the Premier League this season.

Following their FA Cup match tonight, Crystal Palace will be back in action on Saturday against Wolverhampton Wanderers. body check tags ::
