Wilfried Zaha is closing in on a return to action with Crystal Palace after taking part in light training this week.
The Ivory Coast international was ruled out of action for a month with the knee injury sustained against Huddersfield Town on the opening weekend of the season.
Palace hoped to have Zaha back in their squad in the next week or so and, having been given the green light to resume running on grass, he is now expected to be in contention to face Southampton on Saturday.
Zaha posted a video on his social media account, accompanied by the caption: "Finally back out running. Working hard to be back with the boys."
Palace sacked manager Frank de Boer on Monday after just 77 days in charge, with Roy Hodgson the man heavily tipped to replace him in the next 48 hours.
