Newcastle United slipped into the Premier League relegation zone after suffering a 5-1 defeat against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Papiss Cisse headed in Daryl Janmaat's cross to give the Magpies an early lead, before James McArthur levelled the scores with a deflected strike four minutes later.
Yannick Bolasie soon fired in a second to put Palace in front, and they grabbed a third goal before the break through Wilfried Zaha's volley.
Within minutes of the second half Bolasie added a fourth, before McArthur put the seal on a resounding victory with another goal in stoppage time.

Hello everyone! It's another busy day of Premier League action with no less than six games taking place across the country. There's plenty at stake too, with vital points on offer as Crystal Palace welcome Newcastle United to Selhurst Park.
It hasn't been a great week for the Eagles, who slipped to a late defeat against Sunderland on Monday evening. Their form has also been patchy of late and they will be desperate to end a three-game run without a home win.
Things have not been going well for Newcastle either as they are just a point above the bottom three. A 3-0 defeat to Leicester last weekend has further increased the pressure on manager Steve McClaren, who is facing a real battle to hold onto his job.
As always, there is plenty to get through between now and kick off, but first let's take a look at the players who will be involved in today's clash, as the all-important team news has been revealed!

Despite suffering that narrow loss against Sunderland earlier this week, Palace manager Alan Pardew has decided to name an unchanged side. It means that Connor Wickham is given another chance to lead the attack, with Wilfried Zaha, Jason Puncheon and Yannick Bolasie the trio selected to play behind him.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have made two changes from the defeat against Leicester, as Jack Colback and Pappis Cisse are brought in to replace Cheick Tiote and Aleksandar Mitrovic. Fabricio Coloccini also keeps place in the centre of the defence, after a training ground bust-up with his manager earlier this week.
Let's get back to our build up for today's match and start with a look at Crystal Palace, who are currently 10th in the Premier League after a decent start to the season that has seen them pick up a real mixed set of results.
The Eagles have shown their quality by recording impressive away wins over Chelsea and Liverpool, while they were unlucky not to beat Manchester United in a goalless draw that they dominated at Selhurst Park last month.
However, Palace have struggled at home this season and have lost four of their seven games at Selhurst Park. The most recent of those came on Monday, where they were beaten 1-0 by Sunderland to make it three games without a win in South East London.
They had actually created the majority of the chances against the Black Cats, but a poor mistake in defence from Scott Dann allowed Jermain Defoe through to slot into an empty net. Alan Pardew will be hoping for a positive response from his players, especially with fixtures against Everton, Southampton and Stoke to come before Christmas.
Another team who are also in need of a boost are Newcastle, who have endured a miserable opening to the campaign. They have won just two of their 13 league games and another nervous battle to avoid the drop looks to be on the cards once again.
The doom and gloom around St James' Park deepened further last weekend as they were beaten 3-0 by league leaders Leicester City. After the game manager Steve McClaren admitted that his team were second best all over the pitch.
Their form had looked like changing after a 6-2 win over Norwich last month, but since then they have scored just one goal in four games. With only two goals for the club since his arrival Aleksandar Mirovic will take the blame for their lack of firepower, but a number of their other signings have failed to live up to their price tags.
Having endured such a poor start to his managerial career at Newcastle, McClaren's future at the club is looking increasingly uncertain. A training ground row with a number of senior players, including captain Fabricio Coloccini, has been played out in public, while former AC Millan boss Clarence Seedorf has been linked with the hot seat at the club.
There was plenty of hype surrounding this fixture at Selhurst Park last season, as Pardew faced his former club for be first time. It was the Magpies who took the lead when Papiss Cisse scored just before the break, but Frazier Campbell's effort in the second half ensured the game finished all square.
This is a game that Newcastle have dominated over the years and they have only been beaten once in the Premier League by Palace. That result came 17 years ago, when goals from Attilio Lombardo and Matt Jansen helped the Eagles to a 2-1 win at St James' Park.

Palace have made a bright start to the game and they are already on the attack. Bolasie has shown a few moments of his quality and pace down the right flank, with his near post delivery to Wickham cleared in time, before his next cross only just evades any of his teammates in the middle.
It looks like it is going to be a feisty afternoon at Selhurst Park and players from both teams have gone in with some strong challenges. Cabaye is also fortunate to not pick up a booking, with his crunching tackle on Colback going unnoticed by the referee.

What a great start to the match this is for Newcastle, who take the lead inside the opening 10 minutes. The Magpies put together a fine team move with Janmaat coming inside from the right and finding space to whip a cross into the box. His delivery is inch-perfect for Cisse, who escapes the offside trap to head into the corner and past the helpless Hennessey.

It's taken Palace just four minutes to come up with a response, but it's an extremely unfortunate goal for the visitors to concede. Wickham does well to win the ball on the edge of the box and lays it off for McArthur to have a strike. The effort from the midfielder doesn't seem to be causing Elliot too many problems, but it takes a huge deflection off Dummett and ends up nestling in the bottom corner.
CHANCE! The Eagles almost a grab a second goal in quick succession as Bolasie races onto a pass down the left, before pulling it back to McArthur on the edge of the box. However, this time the midfielder can't repeat his earlier goal and places the ball high over the bar.
GOAL! Crystal Palace 2-1 Newcastle United (Yannick Bolasie)
This has been some comeback from Crystal Palace, who have completely turned the game on its head. Wickham turns creator again with a great run down the right before drilling a low cross the box. It ends up falling kindly for Bolasie and he makes no mistake to lash a powerful effort past Elliot to give his side the lead.
It has been some opening 20 minutes at Selhurst Park and the pace of the game doesn't look like slowing down. There is so much space for each team to attack down the flanks, and I have a feeling that there will be more goals in this one.
Pardew must be delighted at the response from his players after falling behind. They have been a real threat going forward from the opening minute and already look a completely different side to that which lost against Sunderland on Monday evening.
Some of the wing play from Palace has been outstanding and Zaha wriggles his way past three Newcastle players down the right. He just overruns the ball at the last minute as he goes to cross into the box, but it was another example of how dangerous the Eagles have been.
Newcastle just can't handle the strength of Bolasie, who brushes aside Colback in the midfield before charging towards the box. He then finds Wickham, who plays it to Zaha at the back post, but the visitors are able to get enough players back to block the strike and eventually clear the danger.
Once again, Bolasie breaks free down the right and away from Dummett, before whipping a superb cross into the box. Coloccini reads it well and manages to head behind for a corner, with Palace unable to make anything of the resulting set piece.
YELLOW CARD! Zaha picks up the first booking of the match for simulation, after going down under Dummett's challenge inside the box. The defender did leave a leg out as Zaha went over, but there did not seem to be enough contact to bring down the Palace man.

Palace have been superb going forward in this first half and they score their third of the afternoon minutes before the break. Wickham has been involved in all of their goals and the striker provides another assist with a floated cross into the box that picks out Zaha. The winger then meets the delivery on the volley and fires his effort into the ground, before the ball bounces up and into the top corner past Elliot.
There are going to be two minutes added on to the end of the first half.
HALF-TIME: Crystal Palace 3-1 Newcastle United
What a brilliant first half of football we have witnessed at Selhurst Park, where Crystal Palace are leading 3-1 against Newcastle United. The Magpies got off to a fine start when Papiss Cisse headed them into the lead, but goals from James McArthur, Yannick Bolasie and Wilfried Zaha have seen the hosts take a firm grip on proceedings.
The Eagles have seen plenty of the ball and have amassed 57% of the possession this afternoon. They have also had six shots on goal, compared to the four efforts Newcastle have managed, while their attacking play down the flanks has been a joy to watch.
It will be interesting to see what kind of response Newcastle can manage in the second half, as they look in real danger of conceding even more goals. Paul Dummett has been given a torrid afternoon down the left by Zaha and Bolasie, and it is just one of the areas that will be causing concern for Steve McClaren.
RESTART! Newcastle take the kick off and get the second half started! The Magpies have also made a change at the break, with Lascelles coming on for Perez.
CHANCE! Big chance for Newcastle to pull a goal back within 30 seconds of the second half. Sissoko does well to works room on the right, before whipping in a low cross that picks out Cisse at the near post, but the striker can only turn is effort over the bar.

That missed chance for Cisse looks even more costly now as Palace further extend their lead. A free kick is not dealt with by the Newcastle defence, and when Delaney heads it towards the back post, Bolasie is on hand to turn the ball into the net from close range to double his tally for the afternoon.
Anything that McClaren said to his players at half time has surely gone out the window now thanks to Palace's latest goal. The defending from the set piece was poor by the Magpies and things could still get even worse for them by the end of the match.
CHANCE! Wickham has been a real danger and has created plenty of chances for his teammates, but he has an opportunity to score a goal of his own when Zaha's low cross picks him out in the middle. He then tries to touch an effort into the net, but doesn't make clean contact with the ball and the visitors are able to clear to safety.
SHOT! More fine play from the Eagles sees Puncheon found just outside the box and in acres of space. The winger then tries to direct a strike into the top corner on the half-volley, but the ball goes narrowly over the top, with Elliot only able to look on helplessly.
CHANCE! Bolasie almost grabs his hat-trick as he times his run to perfection to meet Puncheon's brilliant cross from the left. However, he can't quite get under the ball and fires narrowly over the bar, with Newcastle lucky to escape once again.
A comeback is not looking likely for Newcastle at the moment and if we are to see another goal, then the Eagles are most likely to score it. It does seem a long time ago that Cisse scored to give them the lead, and they have had little to cheer since then.
Newcastle do offer some threat when they break quickly and Dummett is played in down the left. The full-back then gets to the byline and delivers a ball to the near post, but it is comfortably dealt with by Palace, who are soon back on the attack.
SAVE! Ward almost gets in on the action for Palace as he bursts from deep and exchanges passes with Zaha, before racing towards the edge of the box. He then gets within shooting range and powers in a fierce drive that Elliot manages to tip over the bar.
SUB! It's a first change of the game for Palace, as Jedinak comes on to replace Zaha.
SUBS! Newcastle are making a double change, with De Jong and Gouffran coming on for Colback and Wijnaldum. It is interesting that McClaren has chosen not to bring on Mitrovic, with his side needing three goals in the final 20 minutes.
CHANCE! De Jong almost makes an immediate impact as he races into the box to meet a loose clearance after Cisse had challenged for the ball in the air, before firing in a low drive. His effort is well struck, but it takes a slight deflection Dann and heads a few inches wide of the far post.
SUB! It's a second change for Palace as Cabaye heads off to be replaced by Lee Chung-yong.
SHOT! Palace haven't threatened too much in recent minutes, but they work the ball well to Puncheon on the edge of the box. The winger then takes a touch and fires in a low drive, but it is hit straight down the middle and causes no problems for Elliot.
YELLOW CARD! Mbemba is handed a booking for the Magpies after blocking off Souare's powerful run down the left.
Janmaat delivered that wonderful cross that set up Cisses's goal and the pair combine again here. This time the striker is unable to keep his header under the bar, although the flag was raised for offside so it wouldn't have counted anyway.
Here's some more bad news for Newcastle fans on what has been a miserable afternoon. Sunderland have just taken the lead over Stoke in their match at the Stadium of Light, and if they manage to hold on to the win then the Magpies will slip into the relegation zone.
SUB! Third and final change for Palace, as the impressive Wickham leaves to a great reception from the home supporters in place of Chelsea loanee Bamford.
SHOT! Bolasie is still desperate to grab a hat-trick, and after working some room to shoot outside the box the Congo international drills in a low strike. However, his attempt takes a big defection and by the time it runs through to Elliot the power had completely gone.

It's been a wonderful afternoon for Palace and they wrap things up with a fifth goal in stoppage time. Bolasie causes problems for the visitors yet again with a powerful run down the left, and when his cross is only half-cleared by Lascelles, McArthur pounces on the loose ball to drill a low strike into the back of the net.

That goal was the last piece of action at Selhurst Park, where Palace have romped to an impressive 5-1 win over Newcastle. It was a brilliant attacking display from Alan Pardew's side, but his former club have now lost eight times this season and have also dropped back into the relegation zone.
