Damien Delaney: 'Comebacks will be vital at the end of the season'

Crystal Palace defender Damien Delaney feels that his side's rallying victories over Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley will be crucial at the business end of the season.

Crystal Palace defender Damien Delaney believes that his side's recent comeback wins in the Premier League will be vital come the end of the season.

The Eagles came from behind to defeat Tottenham Hotspur in Alan Pardew's first top-flight game in charge of the club, while they repeated the feat against Burnley a week later with a 3-2 victory.

Delaney feels that there is a lot of confidence his teammates at the moment, and admits that they are relishing their match against Everton on Saturday.

He told the club's official website: "Those six points we picked up from losing positions could well be crucial in the season's final shake-up. In this league you have to believe for the entire 90 minutes that you can get something out of the game, no matter who the opponents are, or you'll get heavily beaten.

"We displayed plenty of that fighting spirit last season, and the confidence that we gained from coming back from 3-0 down against Liverpool still lives on in our minds.

"The last three wins show that we can give anyone in this league a good game home or away, and that means we just want the games to come thick and fast now that we have some serious momentum."

Palace are 13th in the Premier League going into their match against the Toffees.
