Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has played down the injury that Owen Garvan picked up during Saturday's pre-season win over Dagenham and Redbridge.
The midfielder scored his side's second goal at Victoria Road before being forced off.
"He's just got a sore knee," Holloway told the club's official website. "He's got patella tendonitis which isn't very nice.
"He knows how to manage it, but when the pitch is hard, we're not used to that and that caused him a problem."
Palace return to action on Tuesday with a trip to Gillingham.
