Crystal Palace continued their pre-season preparations with a 2-1 win over Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday.
Palace boss Ian Holloway included Kevin Phillips in his starting side, just hours after it had been confirmed that the experienced striker had signed a contract with the club.
Meanwhile, there were also starts for Stuart O'Keefe, Danny Gabbidon and Jonny Williams in a strong Palace lineup.
Stephen Dobbie came close to opening the scoring for the Premier League outfit after just eight minutes, but his effort was pushed wide of the post by Chris Lewington in the Dagenham goal.
Palace had the lead in the latter stages of the half, however, when Atdhe Nuhiu turned into the back of the net following a low cross from Quincy Owusu-Adeyie.
Holloway made 11 changes at the interval, with new signing Dwight Gayle among the players that turned out for the second period.
Palace had their second early in the half when Owen Garvan converted from the penalty spot after Quade Taylor had been felled in the box.
However, Dagenham found the back of the net moments later courtesy of a penalty from Medy Elito, after Taylor had tripped Zavon Hines in the area.
The home side had a couple of half-chances to level in the latter stages, but Palace held on to pick up the victory.
